Our Story

Deep Woods Estate is set among the rolling landscape of the Margaret River wine region, surrounded by towering jarrah and marri forests and kissed by cool Indian Ocean breezes. The incredible success of the vineyard combines the talents of some of Australia’s most celebrated winemakers with idyllic soils and growing conditions.

The surrounding forests and salt-laden breezes shape the character of Deep Woods Estate wines and carry a signature purity: Chardonnay with sculpted citrus and fine oak; and Cabernet Sauvignon layered with cassis, graphite and length.

Sustainable viticultural practices, together with Margaret River’s exceptional and unique terroir, deliver high-quality fruit year after year. The team led by 2019 James Halliday Australian Winemaker of the Year, Chief Winemaker Julian Langworthy, utilise this incredible fruit to craft award-winning wines across a number of ranges, in the unwavering pursuit of excellence. Across Australia and the world, Deep Woods Estate is recognised for excellence, with its Reserve range often taking top honours for both elegance and power.

In 2025 the IWSC awarded Deep Woods Estate the Western Australian Wine Producer Trophy for its outstanding wines, and a Trophy and a Gold Medal for each of the 2024 Reserve Chardonnay and 2023 Reserve Chardonnay. Every bottle feels carved from the landscape – bright, precise and deeply contemporary.
