Sustainable viticultural practices, together with Margaret River’s exceptional climate and soil, deliver superior-quality fruit of intense flavour year to year. Each of the Deep Woods Estate wine ranges over-delivers in value and is produced in an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

Grand Selection Range

Only produced in exceptional vintages, the Grand Selection wines individually highlight the two prime Cabernet Sauvignon growing subregions of Margaret River – Wilyabrup and Yallingup. As the ultimate expression of winemaking, these single vineyard wines represent, at most, the five very best barrels of Cabernet at Deep Woods Estate in any given year.

Single Vineyard Range

Each year, Deep Woods Estate identifies sites suitable for producing wines befitting the Single Vineyard name. These exceptional sites must possess a unique ‘x-factor’ that differentiates them from other vineyards within the region, while the fruit must still offer opulent varietal purity. Made only in tiny quantities, these pristine wines display both substance and style and are the ultimate expression of Margaret River terroir.

JAMES HALLIDAY, HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION 2019

Julian Langworthy – Winemaker of the Year

My selection of Julian Langworthy as Winemaker of the Year caused me to ponder on the three greatest winemakers of the 20th century: Maurice O’Shea of Mount Pleasant Wines, Colin Preece of Seppelt’s Great Western and Max Schubert of Penfolds. Are his winemaking skills and palate on par with the greats of the 20th century? It's a question without an answer. But if he is to be compared with the best of today, the answer is an emphatic yes.
