Top marks across the board from James Halliday for Deep Woods

Deep Woods were delighted to receive a host of plaudits in the brand new Halliday Wine Companion 2018, from being named as one of Australia's Ten Best Value Wineries, to the 2014 Grand Selection Yallingup Cabernet Sauvignon being awarded Best Cabernet Sauvignon of the Year.
In total, 12 wines from Deep Woods Estate were awarded 90 points or more in this year's Halliday Wine Companion - well deserved recognition for the hard work and dedication put in by the Deep Woods winemaking and viticultural teams.
The full run down was:
2014 Grand Selection Yallingup Cabernet Sauvignon - 98 points
Best Cabernet Sauvignon of the Year
"...the bouquet complex, the palate shocking in the quite extraordinary power and complexity of its blackcurrant, bramble and glittering tannins. How it manages to end up fresh on the finish is beyond my imagination or comprehension."

2015 Reserve Chardonnay - 97 points
"...the palate is almost aching in its intensity and length, arcing through white peach, nectarine, grapefruit zest and mouthwatering acidity. The finish and aftertaste give a high fidelity reply of all that has gone before."
