Reserve Chardonnay awarded a Trophy at the IWSC 2024

We are thrilled to announce that our 2020 Reserve Chardonnay was 1 of just 24 wines awarded a trophy at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2024

IWSC judges reviewed the wine highly:

"Vibrant and aromatic in style, brimming with notes of tropical and stone fruit, intertwined with floral tones and a delightful whiff of fresh herbs. The palate is wonderfully lively, offering a charming stream of acidity - powerful yet well-balanced with an attractive nuttiness and a savoury complexity. Smoky undertones evolve beautifully into a creamy, lingering finish. Sublime!"

The IWSC Committee said:

"Last week our expert judges were tasked with retasting all gold-medal winning wines from the IWSC 2024 for the final endorsement – IWSC’s wine trophies.

"With nearly 7,000 wines tasted throughout the 2024 awards, our judging experts awarded 24 outstanding entries with this year’s trophies. The 2024 trophy-winning wines include 4 sparkling, 12 still dry wines and 8 sweet/fortified wines.

"Looking at still dry wines, Australia stood out as one of the most decorated countries achieving four trophies. Margaret River was the highlight among Australian wine regions, with 2 trophies awarded to Margaret River entries - Coward & Black Vineyards The Black Prince Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 and Deep Woods Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2020."

Our 2020 Reserve Chardonnay has sold out, however our latest vintage - the 2023 Reserve Chardonnay - will be released this month. Register your interest here.
