Two Trophies at the Blackwood Valley WA Boutique and Single Vineyard Wine Show 2022

We are thrilled to announce that Deep Woods Estate has been awarded two Trophies and three Gold Medals at the Blackwood Valley WA Boutique and Single Vineyard Wine Show 2022 today.

The 2020 Single Vineyard Cabernet Malbec was awarded the Winehaul Trophy for Best Red Blend, as well as 95 points and a Gold Medal. On this result wine show judges said: "A great vintage, a great blend; proving that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

The 2020 Single Vineyard G2 Cabernet Sauvignon was also awarded 95 points, a Gold Medal and crowned Best Cabernet Sauvignon winning the Demptos Bordeaux Trophy. This brings the Trophy tally for this wine to a total of five trophies!

The 2021 Single Vineyard Chardonnay was awarded a Gold Medal and 95 points.

For over 20 years, the Blackwood Valley WA Boutique and Single Vineyard Wine Show has been used as a platform to showcase local wineries, as well as small production, single vineyard wines from across Western Australia. These are special wines which speak of their provenance, celebrating small single vineyard sites from around the State. 

We are extremely proud of Chief Winemaker Julian Langworthy, Chief Viticulturist John Fogarty and the whole Deep Woods Estate winery and vineyard teams on yet another incredible wine show result this year.
