Tickets Now Available for our Reserve Release Dinner 2023

We invite you to join us for the highly anticipated annual Deep Woods Estate Reserve Release Dinner on Wednesday 15 November at 6.00pm.

This year's event will be led by Deep Woods Estate Chief Winemaker Julian Langworthy and hosted at acclaimed Perth restaurant Will Street, with food prepared by award-winning Chef Will Meyrick.

The evening will include canapés and a glass of Estate Rosé on arrival, before you are seated for a four-course meal consisting of delicious Asian-inspired shared dishes, paired with current release and museum Deep Woods Estate wines.

The Deep Woods Reserve wines have become some of the most highly awarded and sought-after wines in Australia. In the last 10 years, the Reserve Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz have won a combined total of 29 Trophies and 84 Gold Medals – an outstanding tally for these Margaret River icon wines.

The Deep Woods Estate Reserve Chardonnay has become one of the most recognised and awarded Chardonnay wines in Western Australia and the country. In an incredible feat, the 2021 Chardonnay was crowned James Suckling's number 1 wine in Australia and number 25 in the world. The 2022 Chardonnay is currently available to pre-order prior to release later this month, and speaking on this wine Julian said: "2022 was a truly exceptional vintage in Margaret River. The season started beautifully with a wet spring and late flowering, followed by a warm and dry season, producing wines with refined flavour, great elegance and real personality.

"Whilst not as tight as the 2021 vintage, the 2022 is more accessible and will perhaps offer more pleasure in the short to medium term, whilst retaining great cellar potential. The palate is a triumph of medium bodied power and persistence. Intense flavours of scratched lime, white nectarine and peach roll in layers across the tongue. Fine-grained oak underpins the expressive Gin Gin clone characteristics with a delicious, chewy texture drawing out the long finish."

The Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Australia’s most awarded Cabernets, winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy in 2016 and being one of just two Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world to be crowned Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards last year. Speaking on the upcoming release of the 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Julian said: "[The 2021] is a triumph where many, many have suffered quite the degree of adversity. Undeniably lighter framed than some other vintages, its medium bodied charm shines bright. Such is the quality of our Yallingup Hills vineyards and the very special sites of Deep Woods Estate and Abbey Vale. Viva la Cabernet!"

Only produced in exceptional vintages (2016, 2018 and 2020), the Reserve Shiraz is a rare jewel in the Deep Woods Estate portfolio. On the upcoming release of the 2022, Julian said: "The 2022 vintage might be my favourite Reserve Shiraz to date. For me, it’s everything that is good about Margaret River and Shiraz combined in the bottle!"
